Cuba’s Undeclared Cargo in Panama Threatens Safety of Maritime Trade
In a written statement sent to the Spanish newspaper El Pais, the Panamanian government stated that the country is waiting for a commission of the Security Council of the United Nations to inspect the undeclared cargo of weapons owned by Cuba and carried on a North Korean ship that was about to go through the Canal.
Panama urged nations to respect the protocols in the Canal to avoid jeopardizing the security of global maritime trade.
